Common name - Cushion bush
Scleranthus uniflorus is a low mounding dense mossy-looking native groundcover, evergreen and rounded, dotted with white flowers in spring and summer. Biflorus is fluffier and more open whilst Uniflorus is denser and flatter. Ideal for rockeries, around ponds, ground cover, roof gardens, modern urban spaces, Japanese style gardens. Lawn substitute if it doesn't get walked on much.
Full sun, regular water, and good drainage. Happy to grow in most soil types with good drainage. Tolerates dry spells and frost.
