Non Native - Tubestock
The Cordyline australis Purpurea, or the Purple Cabbage tree as it can be more commonly known, is a pretty evergreen cordyline variety with striking red-purple foliage and a unique growth habit. Small white flowers bloom in Summer, but it's the stunning purple colours that make this such a highly prized garden addition, and growing 6 - 10 metres tall, she certainly makes a statement.
This variety is hardy to most conditions including frost, wind and salt, and only sensitive to high humidity. Popular as a feature plant or mixed with other plants or as a tub specimen.
