The Acacia Floribunda

Also known by various names like gossamer wattle, weeping acacia, and white sallow wattle.

This evergreen perennial is indigenous to New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria, but has also naturalized in Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, Indonesia, Mauritius, and northern New Zealand.

It can grow up to 6 meters in height. The shrub produces cream-colored flowers during the early spring months (August to September in the southern hemisphere).

Acacia Floribunda is a versatile plant that is useful for landscape purposes. It can be used to control erosion in gullies, as a hedge, windbreaker, for shading, and around bogs and ponds. Due to its fast-growing nature and the beauty of its flowers, it is commonly used as an ornamental landscaping plant.

The tree is also useful for its nitrogen-fixing properties and is often planted alongside fruit trees. The foliage of A. Floribunda can serve as fodder for livestock, such as goats.
Please note: No live plants can be sent to Tasmania, N.T, W.A or overseas.
