Eucalyptus globulus compacta TUBESTOCK
This is Tasmania's floral emblem it is a dwarf size tree 7m high x 5m wide, with a smooth grey trunk.
The juvenile foliage is round with blue grey foliage with later leaves long curved and glossy.
In spring and summer it produces masses of cream flowers.
Can be used for a shelter tree, wind break on farms or road side plantings, but grows to tall for suburban plantings.
The buds, flowers and fruit can be used for floral arrangements.
Grows in an open sunny position in well drained soils.
