Our indigenous range is sourced from local seed collectors that have lived in Dimboola their whole life! They are passionate about rejuvenation, sustainably  and gathering seed from trees and shrubs naturally grown in the area.

Our indigenous rage rang has approximately a 100km radius from Dimboola town center and we are very proud and passionate to be able to share this range with everyone!

Indigenous Clematis Microphylla is a versatile climber, averaging 5 meters in height, that is commonly found at Venus Bay.

Its light green, opposite leaves are finely divided 2-3 times and have 9 leaflets in groups of 3, each measuring up to 5cm x 2cm.

The stalks of the plant twist around other stems and it is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants.

From July to October, masses of scent-carrying, cream-colored flowers with a touch of hairiness below and smoothness above, form clusters in the axils or tips of the leaves. The seeds have feathery "beards", which inspired the common nickname "Old Man's Beard" for the genus. Small-leaved Clematis' tangled climbing habit makes it a desirable place for birds to build their nests, while its fragrant winter blooms attract a wide array of insects. These old seeds also provide valuable nesting material.
