Occurs naturally in most states of Australia. Grows mostly sandy, rocky well drained soils and can appear in dense populations where it is the dominant tree. Depending on rainfall the single trunk conical shaped tree can grow from 3-5m high in drier areas and have a bush habit up to 15m high and tall. Used for shelter tree, shade or windbreak, for stabilisation of sand dunes or an excellent feature tree for large gardens or parks. Also ideal for a living Christmas Tree.
