Salvia guaranitica 'Violet eyes' TUBESTOCK - Non Native
TUBESTOCK
Common Name: Meg's Violet Sage
This stately upright perennial offers a spectacular display of rich, intense purple blossoms with glossy green bracts for much of the year.
Growing 1.5-2 meters tall and 1 meter wide, ‘Violet Eyes’ thrives in full sun or part shade and appreciates an extra drink during dry spells.
A member of the Salvia family, this drought-resistant shrub has deep, velvety violet-hued blooms with white markings, cordate leaves and a semi-deciduous nature in cooler climates.
Prune annually and fertilize with Osmocote Slow Release for best results, and pair with Lavandula and Rosmarinus for a stunning garden display from March to October.
Prefers a part-full sun position in a well drained soil.
