Our indigenous range is sourced from local seed collectors that have lived in Dimboola their whole life! They are passionate about rejuvenation, sustainably  and gathering seed from trees and shrubs naturally grown in the area.

Our indigenous rage rang has approximately a 100km radius from Dimboola town center and we are very proud and passionate to be able to share this range with everyone!

  • Botanical Name: Eucalyptus Leucoxylon ssp. Leucoxylon
  • Common Name: white mallee, dumosa mallee, or Congoo mallee
  • Provenance:  Kiata, Victoria
  • Flowering time: Summer - Autumn
  • Flower colour: White
  • Foliage Colour: Glossy or dull, green to slightly blue-green or grey green.
  • Height and width: 3-8m High
  • Soil Type: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils, prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil. Suitable pH: mildly acid, 
  • Drought tolerant. Full sun.
  • Usage: windbreak ,shade tree, erosion control, the mallee can be mass planted on roadsides or along fence lines. Plus, it provides a haven for nectar-eating birds and insects!
  • Beyond its striking visage, it also carries with it an ancient cultural heritage, where it was utilized by indigenous peoples for food, drink, medicines, and tools.
