Dodonea procumbens is a compact, low-lying shrub. It is a great choice for areas where there is less competition from other plants. It thrives in clay to rocky loam soil, blooming from November to February each year. Its fruits take around 10-12 months to mature and are dispersed by papery fruits. It is a hardy species, typically reaching heights of 20cm and widths of 1.5m.
