Gimlet - An erect, branching tree which can reach 12-15m high. Normally has a rounded crown of shining narrow green leaves and a distinctive red-brown or greenish brown, shining smooth bark. In some trees, particularly when young, the trunk is spirally fluted, giving rise its common name. Flowers are cream in Summer and Autumn. A tough easily grown, medium-sized tree which is best suite to dry or moderately dry conditions. Good honey tree.
