It is an evergreen, drought resistant small tree with cream-colored flowers that bloom in the spring and summer.

This plant thrives in warm temperate, cool temperate, Mediterranean, and semi-arid climate zones, and can tolerate light frost.

It is a low maintenance plant that is ideal for erosion control, as a decorative fruit, and for attracting wildlife such as bees, nectar eating birds, butterflies, and other insects.

Additionally, it can thrive in various soil types, including sandy, clay, loamy, sandy loam, and clay loam, and prefers an acidic, neutral, or alkaline pH level.
