Melaleuca decussata
Common name: cajeput, cross honey myrtle, and totem poles.

Melaleuca decussata is a dense, rounded shrub indigenous to south-eastern Australia, typically growing to 3 metres in both height and spread.

A member of the Myrtaceaee family, this species produces distinctive flowers that emerge pink or purple before transitioning to pale white.

Blooming extends from August through May, with peak flowering between November and February in its native range.

The plant develops characteristic woody capsules that remain partially embedded at the stem base, creating visual interest year-round.

Live plants cannot be shipped to WA, NT, TAS or overseas due to quarantine restrictions. Myrtaceae family plants also cannot be shipped to SA.
