Fringe Myrtle

A beautiful and shrub 1-2.5m high x 50cm-1.5m wide, with starry flowers, it can range in height from around a metre to up to a couple of metres. The white to pink flowers are borne up the stems in profusion in mid Spring, followed by decorative calyces, and both are good for cut flower work. It has small thin leaves which have a spicy fragrance when crushed. Suits sun to light shade, and needs a well drained soil. Frost tolerant. Tip prune to encourage a more dense habit if needed.
