Common names: white cypress, white cypress-pine, Murray River cypress-pine, Bribie Island pine and northern cypress-pine.

Callitris glaucophylla is a distinguished coniferous species belonging to the Cupressaceae family, indigenous to the Australian landscape.

This evergreen tree reaches heights of 4–12 metres, occasionally extending to 20 metres, with a robust trunk diameter up to 50 centimetres.

Its delicate, scale-like foliage measures 2–6 mm in length, arranged in characteristic whorled formations along slender shoots.

The tree produces distinctive globose cones approximately 1–2 cm in diameter, featuring six triangular scales that dehisce at maturity to disperse seeds.

The deeply furrowed bark provides textural interest and protection.

This species has demonstrated remarkable adaptability, establishing itself in Hawaii and southern Florida beyond its native range, making it a botanically significant conifer of considerable horticultural and ecological value.
