Fraxinus griffithii - flowering ash

Fraxinus Griffithii is an evergreen tree, except in cooler climates where it may become semi-deciduous. Its fast growing, drought tolerant, attractive tree has leaves that are green and shiny on the top and hairy silver coloured underneath. They are oval shaped with pointy tips. The flowers appear in pinnacles, are white and born in Spring. Can be used as a feature tree or in parks and gardens. Can also be used in street plantings. Great for avenue planting.
Tolerates a wide range of conditions but performs best in moist, well drained soils with full sun. Requires little maintenance after established but will need some water in extended dry periods.
