Heath-leaved Banksia
Compact, tall and shapely shrub to 5-7m high x 4m wide. Large orange-red flower spikes are spectacular and appear usually in Winter but the flowering period is late Autumn to Spring. Fairly adaptable, requires a well-drained acid soil for reliable results. Flowers are full of nectar and very attractive to native birds.
