TUBESTOCK

Common name: Germander or sky blue sage.

This is an evergreen perennial hailing from the high desert of the Sierra Madre Oriental range in Mexico.

Its rootstock is similar to Teucrium chamaedrys (Wall Germander).

This stellar beauty grows to 60 cm, showcasing delicately textured sage leaves, which are peppered by indigo blue flowers with evergreen foliage.

Sky Blue Sage is quite versatile, able to survive even below -15c.

With a bit of pruning between its periodic blooms, it can form elegant, voluminous mounds up to 4 feet wide, ideal for a native or natural look, especially in colder climates. This drought tolerant plant is an excellent choice for any garden.

Enjoys full sun and most soil types, drought and frost tolerant.
