A semi-deciduous sunlover originating in the Canary Islands, Lotus Red Flash (Lotus berthelotii) is renowned for its ferny grey-green foliage and vivid, gold-accented crimson blossoms resembling parrot's beaks.
Perfect for trailing over retaining walls, cascading down embankments and creating show-stopping hanging baskets, this beauty flowers from spring to autumn.
Grow in full sun or part shade in soil that's rich in organic matter and drains well; add mulch in dryer weather and protect from frost in cooler climates. Prune to encourage fullness, if needed. Height and width: 20-25cm x 30-35cm.
