Kunzea pomifera - Muntries stands 30-50cm high and 2-5m wide. A visually enticing plant, it yields an abundance of aromatic, mini green and red berries possessing the taste of spicy apples and higher antioxidant levels compared to blueberries. Simple to cultivate, it can form a ground cover or be trained onto a trellis for harvesting convenience. Adaptable to many soil conditions including sand and clay, it flowers in Spring and yields ripe fruits from late Summer to early Autumn. To maximize pollination, intersperse other Spring-blooming plants.
