Mounding bushy plant with small neat silver-grey foliage, and clusters of small deep red buds that open into pink long-lasting papery flowers in spring to early summer.
In frost-free gardens, a striking foliage plant with the benefit of bright flowers. In colder climates treat as a bedding annual. Full sun to light shade, free draining soil, tolerates dry conditions much better than wet ones. Mulch on planting and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Trim as required to maintain compact growth.
